Radio City has always been associated with fabulous music, and unique and innovative initiatives. With Navvula Don, Radio City Hyderabad hoped to find an RJ with a refreshing take on humor in June 2008. And, it did find its very first `Fun J`.

After a round of sms-voting, Radio City Hyderabad shortlisted Phani, Sanjay, Sabeer, Asif and Yellesh. The station even lined-up state`s top comic talents to root for their favorite contestants. Then, during the grand finale listeners got a chance to watch the finalists in a live performance, and co-judge alongside the panel of celebrity comprising Telugu stars Siva Reddy and Madhushalini.

Wooing the audiences with wit and humor, each aspiring Fun J attempted to charm his way through the four rounds of the finale. The event was supported by a robust hi-decibel promotional campaign comprising extensive outdoors, on-air and ground support.

Mohammed Asif, an alumnus of IIT Delhi, emerged winner in the contest, and bagged a chance to co-host a program along with RJ Vamsi for a month. Check out what he has to say to Radio Cityzens...
