The most popular audio house in Karnataka Anand Audio headed by Mr Mohan H. Chabbria and his brother Shyam H. Chabbria introduced the new technology for the first time in Karnataka to kick out the audio CD piracy.
The Glass Master Locking system evolved by Mr Sangeeth Menon of Calicut is what Anand Audio has introduced from music maestro Illayaraja’s new Kannada film music ‘Bagyadha Balegara’ audio. This new technology will not allow the piracy operators to copy and make a business. “Copying the audio to a recorder and then make piracy copies would cut down the quality immensely”, says Mohan Chabbria.
The new technology to check the piracy in the market cost Rs.10,000 as mastering charge. This mastering works out for up to 70,000 audio CDs and then a fresh mastering has to be done. This would have a minute increase of Rs.3 per audio CD says Shyam.
